What Makes DC Fitness the gym for people who don’t like gyms?
DC Fitness is not your typical “bro” gym.
This gym is not designed for muscle heads.
This gym is not designed for figure competitors.
This gym is not designed for professional athletes.
This gym is designed for EVERYDAY people, just like you who want to better themselves and excel in ALL areas of life.
People who are BUSY and who have other priorities that compete with their fitness, yet still know ‘there must be a better way!’
There are 3 main ways that we cater specifically to introverts and/or people who don’t like typical gyms:
Education/Knowledge Based Approach to Building Confidence - As an introvert myself (Derek) who was very shy when I began working out, I know first hand how powerful education can be when it comes to building confidence in the gym and how introspective deep thinkers like us become confident by knowing how to do things properly and understanding the “why”.
Private, Low Intimidation Atmosphere - Our studio is two small studios, with minimal other traffic and very few other people around. Almost every member or 1-on-1 client started where you are now, so there is no judgement or shame in starting from whatever point you’re first coming to us, even if it seems embarrassing to you. We keep the private atmosphere so that you can work out in peace and build confidence without having to worry about people judging or staring.
Laid Back Expert Coaches - Our coaches take a laid back 1-on-1 type approach to coaching. Rather than a drill sergeant yelling at you, we take a strategic approach 1-on-1 with each clients ensuring that you get the results you want, minimize the risk of injury and feel confident that what you are doing is working. We’ll also gradually build up intensity rather than crushing you in your first workout so that you’re excited to come back rather than dreading it. Of course as coaches, we’ll still encourage, motivate and push you to do your best, but it won’t be harsh or abrasive or force you to do things you hate.

DC Fitness is a 2000 square foot Private Fitness Studio located in the heart of Kitchener, Ontario.
We have a team of client centred coaches who THRIVE on seeing you succeed!
At DC Fitness you won't get the typical hard sales approach pushing you to buy the longest or most expensive package, or the "Here's your membership we'll never see you again!" mentality that you so often get at big box gyms.
